Well after this earlier thread this spring, I knew this wasn't going to be simple (electrical tape around the glass worked really well as a temporary fix):

The top of the pinchweld was pretty rusty. I tried removing the original glass to reuse it but that lasted about 2 minutes into cutting out the glass. Then it was Flintstone style.
Rust had formed underneath the paint and when I pulled the old urethane bead it would easily come off with the paint still sticking to it.
So I scraped, sanded, wire wheeled, and sanded some more. Completely taking off the old urethane in the rivets was the toughest part. I used Klean Strip and the wire wheel mostly to conquer them.
When everything was off, I then used Naval Jelly to treat any rust that was left over.
Cleaned everything good, Primed it with Eastwood 2K epoxy primer (3 layers), and then a 2k Epoxy urethane paint.
Gonna leave it all this week to dry.
I did find some very small holes on the top top edge of the pinchweld (not where the urethane bonds but on the top side of the groove). Not sure how to fill them. Don't have a welder, so was thinking a few drops of soldering lead? Or permatex liquid metal?

I used Eastwoods 2K Epoxy Primer in the spray bottle, then the 2K Epoxy urethane paint called Rat Black, also in a spray bottle. The 3M urethane windshield bonding agent recommends to use urethane paint.
When the paint dries, I will fill the holes with Permatex liquid metal, then some more paint over it.
