Default rusty floor pans

well working on the jeep about a week ago i found some bad rust in the front floor pans. the passenger side had 2 large holes in it. would it be better to cut the parts out and weld in small parts or order all new floor pans for the front and weld them in? rock auto has the LH and RH floor pans for $41 for each side. what does everyone suggest for the carpeting in it? i don't really want to just rhino line it i kind of want to put carpet back in.

If you do it right the first time, you prolly wont have to fix it again. IMO i would buy the floor pans and get r done.
