I left my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee 6cyl in Mexico for 8 months with the battery cables disconnected. The battery was one month old when I left. Now I'm back in Mexico and I've reconnected the cables. The car will start and run fine for about 30 seconds, then sputter and die. You cant start it again until it sits a while, it just sputters. I thought originally, bad gas. Dilluted the existing gas with fresh premium and added Lucas Oil fuel stabilizer. Didn't help. I've wiggled wires and checked for critters chewing on wires and can't see anything obvious. Fuel filter, bad fuel pump? Any thoughts?
