jeep in sig, runs great when its cold once it warmsup it wont idle, it has no power, and it backfires out the intake and exhaust. let it cool off start it and it runs great agin tell it warms up. wtf i hate this jeep

Sounds like a bad O2 sensor. When the engine is cold (open loop mode) it runs primarily on the map sensor. When it's warmed up (closed loop mode) it will switch over to primarily using the O2 sensors. Yes I know this is a very generalized explanation but hopefully it helps.

Yeah I was thinking that but the o2 sensor has like 10 hours of wheeling time on it since I replaced it last. But it was a cheapo one. Ill get one off the parts jeep and see how it dose. I was also thinking the coolant temp sensor but it's new also. Hmmm wish this thing was OBD2
