Running wires
So im planning on runnning wires for a few accessories like an amp, inverter and oba dont know where i should run the wires through the fire wall i took out the windshield washer tank to see if ther was a good spot to run wires (i have a 96) and i cant tell if it is safe to drill by the blower motor any advice in running wires through the fire wall thanks!!!!
Not sure if this will help but when I want to run wires for something I usually find a place where wires already come through and either use the same grommet those wires come through. I guess that depends on how many wires are going to end up coming through, they might not all fit. But if you find a spot where wires already come through you can probably find a spot close by that would work.
ya i was thinking about going through an existing hole but the best one i found was on the driver side opposite from the battery and i am planning on running quite a bit of wires and would not all fit through so i have to make my own....but dont know where to drill?

I have an amp power wire ran through a hole I drilled. Straight back from the battery, by the blower. You may have to remove some stuff from the inside to access the hole but its a great spot. Remember to put a grommet in the hole you drill. Amp's draw alot of juice and usally have large fuses, if you dont use a grommer you could short out the amp power and fry your cpu before the fuse would blow....fyi
so i drilled a small hole in the firewall on the top left of the blower motor and tried to feed a wire into it from the engine compartment and could not find where it was coming into the cab then i found a spot in the cab where the carpet ends and tried drilling another small hole again fed a wire through and couldnt find where it is leading to im lost lol i have ran wires before in my other cars but this seems to be stumpng me any help???????
Try feeding the wire from inside the cab to the engine bay. I know it might seem like the backwards way to do it but at least you will be able to see where the wire is going.

I finaly took some pics;

Its very crowded under the dash on that side, you will have to take a few things apart. Just make sure you use gromits on the hole/holes you drill in the firewall.
