Okay, so here's what Iv got Going on....
Typical XJ running warm, up hills tend to push the envelope on that last white line before the "red zone". last summer replaced water pump, hoses, and went down to 160 thermostat, didn't see a change really in temp, went wheeling a few times and had to turn the heater on to cool her down, definitely over heating, boiling out the overflow and such...radiator started leaking from old age and corrosin, replaced that and while i was at it cap, and thermostat for good measure, while i had it all apart i decided to go to an electric fan conversion, all is great and dandy on the road and highway, all through town i sit at 210 all day long but as soon as I start wheeling she starts creeping back to the "red zone"...been burped, flushed,and every major part replaced any suggestions? btw its '89 4.0L both fans cycle on and off at the proper temperatures as well as when the A/C is running.....im stumped...any one try water wetter?

 

how many core rad did you put in it i put a 3 row in and a new water pump and clutch fan and mine sits at 180 in 100degree heat with my ac blasting
