Depends on what you want to use the rig for. If it's a street rig, get high flow parts, but for the sake of legality and noise pollution, as well as MPG factor, it's best to keep everything on. If it's a trail rig, that's a little different, but it's still going to suck gas up, and I can personally tell you that the sound from that setup on MY 00 is nothing short of GOD AWFUL. I've been drowning in a constant roar for three months now, and everyone around me (including the cops) has noticed it. I'm getting my exhaust on as soon as possible.

Well, with my current setup, I'm barely pushing 10MPG. I have stock exhaust to the cat where it dumps. If you didn't have the O2 in after the cat, and didn't have the cat (assuming you don't sim the sensor), you might be able to get the same as me, maybe less. The lack of backpresure might also become an issue, and your PCM would certainly throw a fit without the down stream sensor installed.

hmm that gas mileage is not the best. open header sounds nice but doesn't seem practical for the daily driver. i live like right next to the police station and im pretty sure that open headers are illegal
