While hot find a long hill to make a run up, at the top pull over pop the hood and look at the mechanical fan while you kill the engine. Does it stop almost immediately?

I’m beginning to think that maybe people with unsolvable overheating need to start flushing with vinegar or something similar that will break down mineral deposits. When every piece of the cooling system is new and it still overheats then it might be a problem with heat transfer. I think as a guideline the fuel trims and related areas should also be checked as an engine running lean could also produce that too much heat. If that all checks out I would think flushing with an acidic liquid would be worth a try. Of course do so carefully as it could eat away at good metal if left in too long or too acidic. I have tried to find out what ingredients are in the Preston’s flush and similar products but I haven’t had any luck. Not sure whether they will actually dissolve minerals or heavy metals. I have read posts from non jeep forums where using vinegar or similar works well and works when nothing else would.

on my 96 the ac condenser was in front of the engine radiator and nearly no space between them. So I was only able to separate them by about 3/4" with a plywood spacer I made. It was enough to make a difference and keep it from overheating. Wish you luck
