Is it getting hot or just reads high bad sender maybe...rear of cylinder head drivers side .

I did replace the temp sending unit that sends signal to the gauge but used aftermarket from autozone to cut costs. Thinking maybe get one from Jeep?

I'm also thinking of changing water pump because SBpunk said... "If you stomp on the gas and rev the RPMS look at the gauge. Does the temp drop while the RPM's are high? If so water pump is next. This is a little more of a pain but not hard to do".

The temp does come down some when I idle and run up the rpm's.

But I'm still concerned why the e-fan does not come on at high temp. As I said, it does come on when I unplug it at the thermostat housing and when I turn on the A/C. Anyone know about what temp it should come on? At present it's running at about 235 degrees F.
