now that i got the lift on, it sounds like somethings rubbing idk if its in the front or back but it sounds more like its in the back, it sort of sounds like something is rubbing the tire but i checked and nothing is, but then i noticed it seems to only do it when i am on the gas so im thinking maybe its the driveshafts? its a rc 3" lift do i have to grease the drives shafts now since they are sitting at a different angle could this be causing it to make a rubbing noise?

You have a 98 model, and put on a 3" lift. Did you do a transfer case drop? SYE? Sounds to me like your rear drive shaft is vibing it up. Mine does it, and sounds the same.
Most times, the newer Jeeps (I have a '00) will be more likely to require driveline adjustments when adding a lift. Typical thought process is that up to 3" is fairly safe, but every rig is different and some require driveline fixing where others don't. Sounds to me like yours needs some adjustment.

I agree, sounds like normal driveline strain. Can you feel any extra vibrations?
look into shimming the axle or doing a SYE before you do a tcase drop. You'll loose a little center clearance if you drop the tcase.
I'm an extremist, though.

I agree. SYE is not that expensive, when you consider the cost of other things we put on our rigs. Lift kits over $700, tires and wheels around $1400. Why spend only $30 on a transfer case drop and do it the bandaid way??

ok well the rubbing sound went away so idk rlly what it was, but everything else runs fine the only thing is i get a little vibration at like 28-32mph but once i pass 32 it stops and drives smooth, i havent gone past 60 so idk if it vibes at higher speeds, but could a tcase fix the vibes i get at those lower speeds?
