Default Which route should I take?

After further investigation, I have come to the conclusion that my low oil pressure isn't a failing oil pump but rather worn bearings. I get about 37 psi at 2000 rpm (hot) and 20-22 psi idle (hot). Oil pressure struggles to increase with higher RPM's. Now, I know every veteran mechanic here is gonna crash with this question, and I can't blame them.

I am not a believer in "band-aid fixes", but I am currently a college student with little to no work. I do not have the time nor money nor tools to replace the bearings. I was thinking of running 10w40 Mobil 1 high mileage oil rather than my usual 10w30 Mobil 1. I also considered using a qt of Lucas Oil Stabalizer, since the last time I used it I had a decent pressure increase. Please, remember I don't like these quick band-aids, but I have no other choice at the moment. Thanks for any input.

if using the lucas got you oil pressure you were more ok with use it my pressures are 19 to 22 at idle and 35 to 45 when drivong i consider that great for a motor with 199.000 or so on it if your trying to get factory oil pressure it aint gonna happen with out a complete rebuild, check yesterday when driving our 2006 chevy 1 ton truck around 25,000 miles 20 psi at idle and around 40 when driving

I just don't understand. I went from great oil pressure (42 at 2000 rpm and rises with rpm, 25 at idle) to barely 18-20 this morning after a 30 minute trip and barely getting 35-36 psi at 2000 rpm. This change literally happened like overnight. I think I am gonna go ahead with 10w30 plus Lucas, but the guy at the parts store recommended using 10w40 and then adding some lucas should the oil pressure not change.
