Thanks for all the input. But I worked on it today and solved all my problems... The reason it was running so badly after the plug swap is because I swapped the plugs when i did the compression test and I think it freaked out the computer because I was cranking it with the coil back out. I reset the computer and it cranked up ran and idled normally. As for the overheat I don't think any damage was done It did have a bad tstat so I flushed the coking system replaced the tstat and put coolant in it and drove it for about and hr and it didn't overheat so I think my issue is fixed and luckily I don't think any damage was done from the overheat.

That's a relief.

I have a liberty and it over heated then when I went to restart it was hard starting. My heart jumped in my throat is just knew I blew a head gasket . Cause once I finally started it idled so rough I couldn't take my foot off the gas pedal . And this liberty I just inherented from my uncle who bought it brand new. And treated like a baby . It's a 2002. Liberty fully equipped Limited edition . With every option that was available that year . It only has 67k miles . But anyway. I was about to cry. Thinking I blew a head . So I just parked it in my driveway and was shopping to get it fixed. I finally got a mechanic to come to give me a price to repair it. . He puts the key in ignition and I almost fell down it started instantly and ran like new.
Come to find out when I release the preasure cap antifreeze boiled over . And got the electronic coils wet . So while it sat the coils dried out . And ran fine. The over heating I was told my thermostat wasn't opening completely cause my uncle died over a year ago and it took that long to go threw probate court and it hadn't even been started for a year . I hope for some of you I'm sure ur coils are wet so won't let your spark plugs fire .

Quote: flashing cel light means servere multiable misfire. Check the boots on the coil pack for arcing, and GAP and check the plugs, check compression again.
Also check that a boot(s) didn't miss the plug entirely.
Not hard to do on these #$&^%'n coil packs especially with AC and if in a hurry.
Been there, done that.

Also check the coil pack control wires and their connector too.
Pull the coil pack and start over.

I hate these #%$*^&'n coil packs!
