I have a 4.5" rc short arm lift. I though about upgrading to the long arm kit when I get the cash but that seems like a lot of work and it's going to be almost $700. But I found out RC sells CA relocating brakets and I was wondering how those did, it looks like the same thing as a long arm kit just with out 1/10th of the work and $500 cheaper. I'm not worried about ride quality because this is a trail rig so I'm more worried about flex room. My jeep with the set up as is flex's a lot more than it did stock, but not even close to as much as I want. I can tell my coils still have some room to go but my lower control arm is hitting the platform where the coil sits. So will the dropping the CA 3" or more help with flex a substancial amount? Thank you in advance
i dont know how the CAD compares to regular short arms, but ive got 4.5" RC long arms and a buddys got 4.5" RE short arms (with CAD) on an MJ, and mine flexes MUCH better on a forklift test.
IMO save up and get the long arms, or make some long arms (thats what my buddy is doing after seeing how mine flexes)

well if its a trail rig your gonna lose clearance right there where u put in the cad. and i have smashed mine control arm brackets and there not dropped. long arms are the way to go. the rc long arms arent that hard to do either. basicly take off the old xmember, short arms, cut off the lca bracket and bolt on all the rest of it

Well the first thing I have to spend big money on is a front locker because my 4wd sucks really bad. Its basically a 2wd with oppsite drive tires so I need to lock my front end and then ill get the long arm kit. This is just going to be $1200 for the upgrade and one locker. I make like $250 a week lol so it will be a while which sucks
