I put on a new vaccum harness in the front The only thing i can think of is one line is on wrong??? If so is there a diagram that shows where everything runs too. I picked up a brand new idle air control motor i believe it said napa on the box. So when i step on it thing end up searching for idle??? Maybe i need to put 2 brand new bolts on the iac to hold it down good??? could air somehow be leaking in.

When i hit the pedal up to 2500 rpm and let off tac drops real low like 100 almost stalls then bounces right back up to 900 or a g. Just so where clear. thnx

The pic is of the vaccum harness located in the front near the middle of the car one line even still has its part tag on it. Still have no idea which vaccum line would cause this problem specificaly . And ive located a black wire which is coming off the tps plug and goes near the left side firewall and has a plug on it. I dont seem to know where the other end goes. The end coming from the tps plug appears intact

Have you tried ohming your CPS? Mines started to idle bad and become hard to start when the CPS went bad.

The map sensor seemed to be reading alittle high at 1.8 dropping down to 1.5 volts on idle which appears normal.

The crankshaft positon sensor appeared good working.

I added about qaurter of bottle of seafoam i had left down the brake booster hose and i seemed to have gotten a slight white smoke torwards the end of the bottle.

I ended up having to go somewhere so i dident wait for it to clear.

The next day i started it then after 5 mins i reved it up a few times hard noticed some white smoke out the pipe then it cleared after 20 seconds.

At this point my idle is steady at about 1100 rpm no bouncing tac so far but when i put it in drive more so reverse the idle drops down to like 700-800 when i hit the gas it will bog down alittle mostly still in reverse.

Im still stumped It appears the idle is steady now though and all i did was play with sensor plugs and use seafoam

Ok just to recap.... have you adjusted the tps and checked the resistance to the ground? If that is not the problem are you sure the iac is in proper working order?

The tps has been adjusted before idk if the ground to it has been checked.

The idle air control motor which i believe ur talking about ive replaced that last year dirts4racing i dont know if it is defective i believe i picked that sensor up on ebay and its possible that its not oem.

I believe it stated it worked for a few vehcles renault cherokee and a couple others slighty scares me.

But when i was told before it was bad i took the old one out cleaned it up dident help and said screw it ill test it even thought i ordered a replacement.

I could hear the motor make noise when someone turned the key on.

Still threw it away and replaced it with a new one. Ill have to investagate more
