I'm not asking about brands, I'm sure that has been done to death - but I'm trying to buy some new front brakes and there seem to be two types listed. One piece cast and two piece composite? How can I tell which I have/need?
Can you tell from that which pads I would need? I need to do this all in one hit so I can't take the old pads off to measure them before I order new ones
Thanks to all,
Morat

Bro don't know how parts stores work in the UK but quick check of autozone website does not return the brake part confusion you describe maybe you are looking at it wrong. As far as I can tell you pads pretty much only come one way just different grades or quality depending on your application.

Thanks folks, I've ordered the composite ones - with the taller "hat" shape for deeper hubs. Let's hope no-one changed the bearings round!
IDK why all our parts stores have this confusion, but every one I've tried list both options from 1997 on.
