I've been reading that many of you use this Rotella oil in your jeeps. I currently use Mobil 1 synthetic in mine and have done so for many years. Can anyone give me some more info on this Rotella oil and if I should start using that instead of Mobil....thanks

A buddy of mine used Rotella 20W40 or some thick stuff like that for a jeep that leaked out of every spot it could. He drove it for a year running that Rotella. I purchased this jeep from him and started running just cheap gas station oil 5-30 or 10-30 and i snuffed the jeep in about a week. Thats what I know about Rotella. Lotta guys with diesel trucks use it for sure. This really did not do a comparison but I just thought I would share the story.

Sounds like the Mobil 1 is working well for You . From personal experience the Shell Rotella Synthetic offers comparable performance at a cheaper price and can be found at any Wal Mart. If I were you I would stay with what's been working for You.

IMHO if it works and does the job why change??
