I saw a pic of a Cherokee with a tire carrier welded to the stock roof rack bars and now I can't find it! Has any one seen this or have done this? If so I would love to see a pic for my own design.

this is one i made that bolts to the inside of the factory roof rails

i welded nuts to 1x1 angle iron and threaded bolts to it in the factory roof rack holes that are on the inside of the rails heres a pic of that

i don't have a pic of it mounted but it sits right on the roof and is low profile and very sturdy

are you just using a large nut to hold it on or are you going to use a plate and multiple nuts and bolts to hold it on

are you talking about pic 2 it has 8 1/4" bolts that hold it to the roof rail real simple and easy to put on and take of or are you talking about the tire hold down it is a 5/8 6" carriage bolt that i welded to the cross brace and have the factory plastic cup and a 5/8 nut that i use and it works great
