I have a hi-lift jack and soon to come a full size spare I have the jack mounted to my luggage rack. but the hangers I'm usung are starting to rust what does everyone else use to mount stuff on there jeep? I just want something that i don't have to worry about it sliding around or falling off.

If it's the crossmembers that are rusting hit up a jy to snag some new ones. Do you plan on putting your fullsize spare on the roof as well?

it will hold your spare but you need a good way to anchor it. bungee cords are not acceptable-tie downs will work but you still need a good anchor point. A 30 will still fit in the fact. spot Why move it ?

stainless steel hardware. personally, i'd keep the hi-lift in the jeep, it will stay out of the elements and stay in better working order that way, and also its easier to steal than a tire. just my .02. to attach my roof rack, a buddy of mine helped me put together some homemade brackets that he used for his rack that just mount to the existing stock x member.
