Default Roll on Bed Liner

If you covered a hole with metal, would you paint it before putting the bed liner on? I would think yes, cause it would keep it from rusting, but then again maybe the paint isnt needed, or maybe it would cause the bed liner not to ahere to the metal?

Anyone know?

I primed mine then scuffed it up with a sander. You may rub some primer off but the roll on bedliner won't stick good unless you scuff it up.

When people do the plastic molding, do they just go right over top of it red stripe and all? I have about 3/4 gallon left from doing my floor and the texture looks so good i'd like to possibly do the molding and down.

I have the Gibson too and love it, my brother got his from ebay but I wanted a valid warranty(the winter salt here destroys metal) so I got it here. gibson 5204, or you can try one of the vendors here on the forum, they are allways having sales/specials. Either way its a great system and very easy to install and for the price you give it a look.

My buddy herculined the exterior of his Scout about a good 5-8 years ago i believe and it holds up amazing... it lasts about a year before it starts to fade like crazy and a couple peels here and there... but do it once a year starting off with a 3 layer coat when first applied and after that all you need is 1 coat every year and it would be good.
