So I recently ripped up my carpet to find a nightmare of rust. I've already located and ordered new floor pans, and I figured while I'm at it I should probably do my rocker panels and the backing plates as well. My question is, are the rockers and backing plates the same for 2 and 4 doors? If I do need 2 door specific parts where would I be able to locate them? Any help is appreciated, thanks.

 

2 door and 4 door rockers and inners are going to be completely different. You need 2 door specific parts. Try....

Lol that's where I got my pans from. From the looks of it they only manufacture said parts for 4 door models though...

 

Looks like the inner is a universal fit (fits both 2 and 4 doors)....

86 to 95 2 door rockers.....

I don't think anything changed on the 96 and up 2 doors from the previous years as far as rockers, but you can always call them to confirm they have the right parts for you.
