I've owned this Cherokee for less than 2 months. It ripped a few grooves off the belt today. Once I started looking into it, it seems the P/S pulley is out a little further than some others. I held a straight edge across the A/C pulley and pressed it on a little more. I recently replaced the exhaust manifold and was thinking...is it possible the Intake man. is sitting slightly forward?? doesn't seem possible or is it?
Does it look like there is too much shaft sticking out of this pump?

Unfortunately, we cannot see your Jeep from here. Why is the power steering pulley not lining up? What do you see? Pump loose? Bolts missing?

Mine (95) did same thing and the studs attaching fan to were loose and the fan pulley pushed the belt over. New studs and new belt : no problems but how the heck it worked out I am clueless except human error. I changed some stuff outOriginally Posted by Shmokinjoe

Maybe remove that belt to save as a spare before it's toast. Then with the belt off check all for being smooth and for play. The idler might go first. Any roughness means it's done. (alt, fan, pump...) With all the above checked, including the Crank Pulley (harmonic balancer), install a new belt. Idlers do go.

I can see the picture but can't see the alignment of your pulleys. Take a straight edge check the leading edges (where the belt rides, with belt off) of the P/S pulley and water pump pulley for alignment.

YES! It ain't rocket science for crying out loud. The picture stinks.

Anyone know what size bolt to use to install the power steering pump pulley? I've tried a couple sizes, but none seem to work. I don't wanna spend the $ on an installer, there has to be something in my garage to DIY
