Rims for 2000 XJ Sport
I just got a 2000 Cherokee Sport and the stock rims don't look good at all. I found some cool Wrangler Raven rims, or would aftermarket rims be better? I don't want to spend a lot either so used rims maybe? The Wrangler rims are 15x 8 and my stocks are 15x7. Could my existing tires be installed on the Wrangler rims without any problems? Thanks

Nice to see another conversion from the probably ho-hum car to exciting 4x4 crowd. A1 is probably correct about the compatability of swaping rims between the two types of jeeps. Maybe the manufacturer finally did something right after all these years. My thoughts were jeep bolt patterns should fit all jeep styles and years, would make manufacturing easier. Ya-wrong. I had an old 80 CJ-7 and moved up to the cherokee and the rims were not interchangable. The bolt patterns were 1/8 different in spacing, but that was Years ago.
Salvage yards will charge anywhere from $65 to $125 per rim depending on the condition of the rims (aluminum), still cheaper than dealer or off the shelf tire stores.
