Default Is this the right seal?

i ordered an omix-ada D35 u-bolt style yoke kit and it cam with a new pinion seal (spicer part #40554/ omix-ada part #16521.20) its says its for the D28 AND the D35 but i've never seen a seal like this. it has this weird metal lip and i can't tell how its supposed to go on. has anyone seen a seal like this before? http://www.omix-ada.com/images/item/normal/40554.jpg

any help would be appreciated
