Default the right CPS for the job... ax-15 swap...

Got all the information I need except which CPS to use... LOL... all the threads I can find say they still gotta figure it out or they have... not how... my Mj didn't come with a tranny so only have a 96 CPS... and want to verify that either flywheel can be used... there the same... Thanks...

Use the CPS for your MJ model year. It will work fine.

(The CKP works with the control electronics. I know the MJ wasn't made in 1996, so the 1996 piece won't work. 1987-1990 will be the same unit, and 1991-1992 will be the same unit, but you can't go across the 1990/1991 division and expect it to work - the two systems use sensors that work on different principles...)

You need to use a renix era flywheel, and a renix era CPS. You will also need ax15 t-case shifter lingage and the ax 15 body mountfor the ax 15. Ask me how I know

I wasn't sure if they read the same or not... go figure the one I need is gone with the tranny... guess I gotta buy one now... LOL... thanks!

I read else where they were the same... I know the backing plates are the same... I grabbed it just incase though... I should b able to use the 97 automatic transfercase linkage I gotta get a transfercase anyways... and got a 97 for parts already... he blew the transfer case out though... I've also got the crossmember from the 97 auto which is the same I've read... Thanks for the help guys...
