Ride height
My 98 is as far as everything goes completely stock. I've just replaced the shocks as they were definitely on their way out.
The leaf springs at the back don't look to bad, except the rubber mounting. They're still arched. But I did notice that the rear of the car sit about 1.5-2.0 inches lower than the front, if you measure the distance between the tire and the wheel arch.
Looked at some other Cherokee today I came across in traffic. Seems everybody sits a bit lower at the rear then at the front.
Does anybody have the correct measurement on how the rear should sit?
Thanks,
Jeroen

Checking Rear Ride Height
Measure rear ride height with the vehicle unloaded (no luggage or passengers) and with the fuel tank full.
Place the vehicle on a level surface and measure the vertical distance between the top of the axle tube and the underside of the frame sill inboard of the bump stop.
With Standard or Soft Ride Suspension, vertical distance should be 15 cm (6 inches) plus or minus 13 mm (1/2 inch). With Heavy Duty Suspension, vertical distance should be 18 cm (7 inches) plus or minus 13 mm (1/2 inch).

i noticed the too. it seems that the actual flare itself is lower on the body than the front. the uni body is the same height. if you measure from the body line to the flare the back is 1.75 inches lower.

Thanks, just measured that distance and it is about 14.5 cm, so that should be ok. However, all the various bushes look real bad, so I'll just go ahead and replace those. Have to have something to do next Saterday.
Thanks for the advice.
