Just put the 4-hole Injectors from the for sale section in. You won't regret it. 80 ish dollars if I remember correctly.

Might as well use actual sea foam in my opinion. I smell a leaking injector. When you park it floods a cylinder that misses for a bit after you start and triggers the cell.

Renting a fuel pressure tester is free. You can then see how it holds pressure after it's turned off. I don't know the specs right off, but it should hold pretty long. (less than 20# drop in 1/2 hr? Idk)

Up grading to four hole injectors....lots of us do that even when the stock are OK.

Speaking of fuel pressure drop. I waz having classic long crank issues probably due to the check valve in the pump. Was just using "the poor man's prime" (key on for a few secs till the pump stops, repeat. Less than three) Doing a mileage/economy experiment I filled up with Chevron premium with teckron. Surprise! Out of the blue my long crank went away, I didn't expect that. Guess there ARE additives that might help. BK-44 I've never found, or used is one.

i tested pressure today but I didn't do a leak down check. Only checked pressure on prime and idle.
I'll give that a look thanks.

Is that $80 a set for the 4 hole?! Or each? I'll assume each as I priced a stock injector today and it was almost $60.

If it's post 90, Ebay search "703" injectors. Think it's 280-155-703 you want.

Here for 87-90> https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/199...r-swap-163105/

You might search here for "injector upgrade" or such...there are others but the 703's are likely golden for post Renix Jeep. There are options..

For a set.

Quite a few members have bought from him with good results. I plan on buying a set in the very near future.

Thanks man!

As for the premium Chevron fuel.... I live in a small town in BFE, I have two stations in town both carry reg w or w/o ethanol(I run w/o) so not much choice in fuels. I do work in the city but not sure I'll be driving it that far until I get this miss completely figured out. Although I know it will get there and back it seems it can't bo good to run it much even with a slight occasional miss... but maybe I am just too OCD about such things. Hell, my buddy heard it run and was like "sounds pretty dang good to me" lol

I don't settle for good. I want it running RIGHT!

Had this thought last night... Is it possible that the exhaust leak could be a contributor? The crack is at the welds at the base of the mani just above the connection to the pipe and downstream O2 sensor. Could it be confusing the O2 sensor by introducing enough fresh air that it tells comp to give more fuel? Probably a long shot I know. In any event I'm about to head out to my BIL's shop to use his MIG and weld that up. Go from there this afternoon.

Idle in park and neutral seems pretty smooth, idle in reverse / drive at stop, brake applied seems to miss / lope.

Well... after a bit of tinkering and welding up the exhaust leak I took a 20 ish mile drive, purred like a naughty kitty the whole time so.... Still no CEL or codes today. Guess we will see. Gonna try to drive it to work tomorrow and see how things go. Its a 120mi round trip so should be telling. I'm ready to spend a day doing fun stuff to it instead of fixing necessary mechanical that's for sure!
