Did you still want my 2wd axle? The ball joints are all tight with no movement .. $150 plus shipping, but as i said before.. Money talks.

Shipping something across the pond may be cost prohibitive. Not to mention duties.

Sad when someone gets dissed for doing something out of norm.

What about just gutting the axle? Driveshaft, carrier, inner axles. Wouldn't save as much weight, but hella cheaper.

How much lighter would the 2wd axle be? How about compared to gutted axle?

Nice idea. Didn't think of that one. You need the outer stubs to hold the wheel bearing together.

good idea with a but, cars in nz get manditory safety inspections every 6 months. and if you modify car it must be tested by a engineer. to prove that any modifacation you have made is safe.

bolt on parts dont have to be modified, so dont need to be tested. and saves me $1000 nzd per certification. its not my DD got another car for that.

yes i still want the axle. but want the gearbox and drive shaft as well that way i can swap them all over at the same time instead of car sitting and waiting for parts.
