Ok so if I forget I'm driving the jeep and not my car and come to a stop with it in gear I stall as normal. When I restart the engine revs to about 3k an stays there for a few seconds. Today out on the trail I came to a stop and forgot to put the clutch in stalled. Restarted and it stayed at 3k te whole time till I turned it off and restarted then It was ok ! What is my issue ? 88 cherokee 4.0

 

IAC or TPS... Im going with IAC... clean it.

 

Ok will do this weekend it's odd that its only on restart after a stall

 

That is odd.. But id still check the IAC...sounds like thats what it is..
