hey guys. i bought my first car about a month ago, its a 95 cherokee 2wd. i love it to death. but sadly today when i put it in reverse, it just wouldnt move and i have no clue what could be wrong. im not very smart with cars. i could use all the help i could get with finding out what might be wrong and how much it would cost to fix it. thank you

 

tranny in neutral? clean the selector switch on the side of the tranny

 

Just had the same problem with mine. First off , check the fliud lvl. does it go into reverse after a little while? next i would replace the tranny fliud and filter , see if that helps. that gave mine a few more months. mine started out when i would put it in reverse it would take a minute to ingage. then it slowly got worse. the tranny ended up being bad. just got it back today. $1498.08. but i got a 3 yr. unlimited mile warrenty , low stall tourqe converter. Sorry for the trouble. hope yours aint on the same path. good luck to you
