my engine revs up when im in reverse. only reverse tho. any help?

I think he means a CEL(Check engine light). Can you explain the revving? Like is the motor revving up or is it surging? Does it seem like it wants to stall out?

 

no, my check engine light is not on.
it sound like my truck is struggling to go, i cant explain it. like every 2 seconds it vroooms up again.

no delay, but if a cut a turn to sharp she'll cut out, not off, but the pedal stops working for a second. they everything is fine again.

 

Replace the auto with a 5 Speed, you'll never have that problem again.

Sorry I can't help, I have not owned an auto in many years, and have never worked on one.

Even thought you CEL light may not be one, there could be a soft code stored inthe computer. Go to your loacl parts house like AUtozone they can read whats in your computer for you. I'll be ther eis a soft code on your tranny.

Mean while make sure you park where you don't need to back up.
