Reverse lights not working
1986 XJ 2d 4WD Autotrans 2.8L
My reverse lights are not working and I am unable to find a NSS on the passenger side. Can anyone tell me where the NSS is on this year vehicle? The auto transmission is completely different than my 97 and there's no NSS in the same location.
I've checked the bulbs, they are fine, not getting any juice to the sockets when I put it in reverse.
I tried to search the forums, but I'm only able to find info on the newer XJ models. Any help/info that can be provided would be appreciated.
Thanks ahead ya'll

Thanks for the quick reply Freegdr. All my fuses are good, all my other lights(turn, hazard, signal, brake, parking) work.....I forgot to mention I'd already checked that earlier. I'm trying to figure out where the Backup Switch is located on the transmission for this vehicle. I don't think there is a NSS like on the 97 and up auto trans. attached is an image below I found on RockAuto.

Ah HA! Found it. Thank you, Thank you..... Now I know why the reverse lights don't work...the connector wont stay on the switch.. the lights work if I hold the connector on the switch... darndest thing. ....... I'm going to just hardwire it..... ...
