According to the Quadratec, Inc. web site, the 1987 thru '96 XJ with the 4.0 L engine was manufactured with an in-line fuel filter in the gas feed line. That was a disposable type filter with hose barbs for use with worm clamps on the inlet and outlet sides. Manufact. Part No. 3300076.

My question is, has anyone with a 1997 or later XJ reverted back to the more accessible inline fuel filter after abandoning the troublesome in tank filer?

What results, problems, etc ?
