I have recently inherently my grandfathers 1989 Wagoneer Limited. He was an incredibly meticulous man and the Jeep is beautiful. Almost flawless paint, an interior that looks to be no more than a year or two old, oil changes every 2,000 miles (and yes he kept the paperwork)...and a whopping 80,000 miles.

However.....

Living on Cape Cod his favorite thing to do was to take a ride down the beach. The under-body is not in the shape that the rest of the Jeep is. The leaf springs are in rough shape, not a huge deal because I'd like to put a nice 2" lift on it, the exhaust needs a little love, and there are some "deficiencies" on the unibody.

Before I make any real changes I need to figure out how to get this rot under control. Its the unibody that concerns me the most, every thing else is bolt on. My first thought is a wire wheel and rust converter but I don't want to go crazy with out seeking council first.
