i know this is a big debate on "if it works" but i thought i would give it a try
Now i posted early last week that my mpg was down. I keep a close eye on mpg ...calculate it every tank.
I do this to see if i have a drop, i know something isnt right
Well i couldnt figure out why my mpg was down since i replaced my fuel pump, fuel filter, sending unit...and cleaned the throttle body/IAC
I figured doing all that my mpg should be up some or stay near the same
Well last night i reset my pcu...thought why not..its not hard to do and it take less than 5 min
Its like my jeep woke up from a nap...lot more power...trans really woke up...no more sluggish shifts...it snaps them out pretty good..shift points changed...which is good
but my mpg (according to my overhead display) is way up too...
now i will wait and see if it really did anything on pen/paper
but for those who say it dont work...i got to say...it did something to my jeep.
Im hoping for better mpg results...but i will keep you posted ( i drove like a mad man last night) i couldnt believe the difference in it....so im sure mpg will be down for this tank anyway

I can't even remember the last time I reset my ECU. Pretty sure I didn't when I changed to a bored throttlebody. I'll probably try it out as well. My mpg have been slowly sinking downward for some reason.

quadratec has a link on how to do it...i disconnected the batter for 5 min and turned the lights on with it disconnect to drain any juice left
seemed to do the trick....and this isnt a "i think i feel a difference"
shift points are all moved...it shifts harder...not a slushbox anymore
mpg is yet to be determined...but i always did this on my 91 when i did a oil change...disconnect the battery and turn lights on
when i finished grease and oil...hook it all back up...away we go for another 3k
