I am getting prepared to replace the steering column in my 88 cherokee, I tried replacing the key cylinder and the ignition switch but still couldn't get the key to go in the locked position. I figure there is something broken inside the column.
I have not done something like this before so I'm a bit wary. Is there anything I need to be careful of or to look for before I start digging around any further than I already have? Or any advice on what to do to make things go smooth in the swap?
