replacing front output shaft bearing in np242

well i have to replace a bearing in my T-case and i wanted to know if theres anything i need to know before i tackle this....i think its just a bad seal,but if the bearing is not shot,should i still replace it or re-grease it? and is it pressed in or just sits in there,i never done this before so i have no idea what im doing lol

I'm about to do the same thing.did u happen to do yours yet?what can u tell me about it? I was hoping I could possibly take off the yoke and simple pull out the bearing with a 2-3 arm puller n install a new one with a long pipe of the same diameter . I have to do the bearing from the output shaft that connects to the front driveshaft.any and all info would be greatly appreciated. Hard to find anything online about it.
