Default replacing cylinder head!

So im replacing my cyl head on my 95 and was really wanting a good decriptive way of doing it. Such as step by step taking it apart then process for gaskets and torque pounds for head and putting it backtogether

Depends on your mechanical trait... If you know your **** then easy. If you have just recently discovered you can change your own brakes ... Well then I'd sell the jeep. Which are you?

I agree on the Haynes manual. Thats what I used when I did mine. As long as you are fairly comfortable mechanically and have all the tools needed it's not tp bad of a job. Just take your time and label everything you remove and retorq as described

Haynes manuals are written for the common weekend wrench bender. Very descriptive and has tons of detail pics. Chiltons is written for the geeked out engineer that can tell you the square root of infinity but has no clue what a ratchet is.

haynes manual tells the secrets...

the "hardest" part is getting the intake on and off... its easy once you do it once but it can be a pain for your first time.

make sure you torque the head bolts to 110!!!!!!! all the rest i tightened to where i felt comfortable

when torquing start in middle and move outwards evenly... one side then other then one side then other etc

and start at 65lbs then 90lbs then 110lbs. center bolts the out from there evenly.
