There's a captured nut on the inside of the subframe.

Thxs Outlaw...so it must be loose and spinning. The frame looks to be closed in and no way to get to it. Am I right???

Yeah, but you can make an access hole and get a wrench in there. Plus when you reinstall the bumper, it covers it up.

wow, I have to revisit this thread, because I was just in the same situation. I was staring at it for a bit, contemplating the access hole technique...really didnt want to do that. Finally it hit me, I welded a bolt to a ~2"x~1" scrap, then used a cheapo magnetic pickup tool to fish it thru the hole above the sway bar mount...voila. The key was to locate the hole in the scrap about 1/2" from 3 sides, so the welded piece fits in the uniframe hole.

My bolt was crossthreaded in the weldnut, when I tried to loosen the bolt, it broke the weldnut free. There was a gap between the bolt head and sway bar bracket, perfect for a cutoff wheel. With the bolt head gone, the magnetic pickup tool was able to pull out the bolt shank and weldnut. Note I said cheapo magnetic tool...the better one I had wasnt flexible enough to fit where I needed it, the cheap one was
