Replacement Fuel Pump doesnt fit. too long
Hey guys,
Back when I had an emergency break down and had to replace my fuel pump on Easter Sunday the Auto Parts store gave me a fuel pump that looked like slightly different but I was promissed it would fit. I went back to my broke down Jeep in the Blizzard and tried to fit the new pump in but it was too long for the shallow tank. I was able to install the pump side ways, to make it work so I could get home.
Ever since, the sending unit is not reading correctly because the whole assembly is tilted. Has anyone replaced their fuel pump with this longer type? What can I do to make it fit? or should I go out and buy an OEM fuel pump after spending 180 bucks for this one?
