Default Replaced my front sway bar links!

My driver side sway bar link has been broken since I've had my Jeep. Finally got around to taking the thing to my favorite auto shop and had them replace both sides, the thing has always drove like garbage, driving on the highway was borderline unsafe especially with wind and it wandered like crazy if the road was crowned and the steering was unresponsive. All of the suspension parts are either new or in very good good condition and then it hit me! On my mgm when the sway bar bushings went bad the car did the same thing. So I spent the $170 (moog lifetime warranty including labor) and one hour of my time having a shop replace both links. It's literally a night and day difference the jeep tracks straight at 70 mph the steering is much more responsive and there is zero wandering. Another odd thing is my steering wheel actually stays straight, not sure why a sway bar would affect that but hey I won't complain.

Thanks for the post! The XJ I just bought has a broken swaybar mount and drives just like that and the steering wheel is not straight. It's in the shop being welded right now.

Dude you could have saved $160 and done them yourself. 35-50 minutes of work 4 bolts on each side and your done. I just did mine the other day....ridiculously easy!

But yeah it makes a HUGE DIFFERENCE, my bushings were completely falling apart

No guy, my frame had ripped out on the passenger's side. After it was welded, it's stronger then when it left the factory. They don't call this the rust belt for nothing!

I broke the bottom bolt on the drivers side trying to do it myself, I don't have power tools or a torch that's why I had the shop do it. I'll be replacing the bushings shortly also, those bolts I know will come out because I had them off when I replaced the steering box.

That's nuts, Mine came apart super easy, I just sprayed some of that wd-40 penetrating oil on all the bolts and then started changing my oil and then when I came back everything just came right off with hand tools.
