Default Replaced engine. No electricity from coil

Would the TPS keep the coil from producing power?

Sorry guys.
Engine turns over fine. No spark.
Fuel pressure is strong
Did the screwdriver to ground from the distributor and coil. Nothing. That's where I stopped.

1987 Jeep Cherokee. 4.0 engine

I did replace the coil, and the ignition coil relay (the thing under the coil that has the two electrical connectors.

Could the distributor being wrong (not on cylndr 1 at TDC) cause this problem?

I wish you guys would stop replacing ignition coils any time there is no spark.

especially now that you said you replaced something that leads me to believe that your not even getting power at the coil. check the power coming into it. and then the signal coming out. if you have power in but no power out my mathematical equation would = bad coil???

Nope, nothing was cut off, I just stop by to complain. I've described how to diagnose a coil so many times, I'm just tired of re-explaining over and over. Ignition coils do not fail very offten, a few simple diagnostic preceedures and a cheap 12volt test light could have saved you some cash.
Now since you replaced the engine, did you bother to check all of the electrical connections and grounds? Have you checked the fuses and relays? Did the old engine run at all before the swap?
