This weekend I replaced the leaking clutch master on my 88 Renix Cherokee Pioneer. Before taking it anywhere, I disconnected the negative battery cable and sprayed contact cleaner all over the fuse box to remove as much of the brake fluid as I could. I then used air to remove as much as possible and let it set overnight.
Everything was working fine until the last mile to work, then after turning left (with the blinker working) and cancelling, no more turn signals.
Everything else works, I tested the hazards blinker, and since it worked, I switched it out with the turn signal blinker. Hazards still work, but no turn signals.
I figure I have some work to do, but in starting, should I look at the mult-function switch for the fuse block? I didn't notice, but is there a fuse that runs only the turn signal circuit?
I read several of the postings here, and most are for intermittent issues, or multiple non-working issues.
I have done most of the ground refreshing including a cable from the negative battery post to the radiator support.
Again, I have no other electrical issues, just no turn signals.
Thanks for your help.

I meant to say "flasher" not "blinker".....wow I feel stupid. There is an aftermarket hitch and trailer wiring (looks like a rats nest) so I will be checking the fuse and if it is blown, then we start chasing the trailer wiring.
Is there a relay in addition to the flasher?

OK, i have narrowed down the problem to the wire between the fuse and the flasher. I am trying to get the fuse block off the firewall, need some help. I assume i need to disconnect the connectors under the hood, but can't seem to figure out how. Suggestions? the back of the fuse block is dripping with brake fluid from the clutch master, need to remove, fix the connection and douse in cleaner.
