I'm considering replacing a leaking AC evaporator core by cutting through the heater box behind the glove box. It's a 98 cherokee sport 4.0. I found a few brief descriptions on the web like this one:

I know you're supposed to pull the whole dash, but this seems like a reasonable approach and much easier. Has anyone ever done this or know of a thread with more pictures?
