Repetative beeping after killing the engine?
I have a 98' Cherokee w/ automatic transition, and whenever I turn off the car, this beeping noise comes on after I take the key out of the ignition. I know for a fact its not the headlight indicator. It goes something like, "beep boop beep boop...beep boop beep boop" then a pause, and then again three more times. This happens EVERY TIME I turn off the vehicle and its becoming quite annoying. Does anyone know what it might be? It's almost like its a warning for something. Like I've left something on, but I cant say for sure. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Try turning the car on, taking the faceplate off and shut the car off. See if it stops....If it does, it the reminder to take the FP with you when you exit the vehicle.

Great, the beeping stopped. so does this mean that every time I get out of the car I have to remove the face plate?

Don't have to, it's just a reminder you SHOULD take it. I don't since I don't live anywhere I need to worry about someone breaking in and stealing the radio. Glad I was able to help for once on here!

Thanks so much for the help! Really appreciate it. I'm glad it wasnt something serious like an electrical issue, or something draining the battery.
