Removing rear brake line

Default Removing rear brake line

how the heck am I supposed to get that "block" on the rear brake line off the axle? I dont see any bolts or anything???

What rear axle do you have? For the D35 you have to undo the 2 side lines, then remove the vent line that comes out the top. Then using a wrench remove the center bolt running through it. 8.25 should be the same. The Dana 44 is diffrent cuase the bracket and vent line are seperate.

Even on my D44 it's the same method. Remove the bolt out of the center. If it's rusted or just caked with crud, you may need to give it some gentle persuasion with a straight slot screwdriver.

Check to see if somebody snapped the bolt for you.

Ya I got the D44, I was saying it's diffrent becuase you can easily see the bolt on it as the diff line is seperate from the brakline braket.
