Pulled fenders.
I have a torx 40 3/8 drive socket, and a torx "bit" (like fits a screwdriver handle)
I found a small box end that fit the torx bit,, had to slip a short pipe over it, shattered the box end.

my 3/8 torx socket will fit on the "rear" single bolt with the door open.
With the fender off and the door closed, I can get the torx socket on one of the 2 remaining bolts, the hinge is in the way on the other.

What a F*cking pain in the A$$
Like I posted a few months ago, these jeeps are a pain to work on compared to other vehicles.
What should have been a 15-20 min job to remove 4 doors, is now in week 2

Don't even talk about Jags! Before Ford bought them, their electrical systems would break if you frowned at them!

i know this is an older post just thought to share this if you are dealing with a stripped torx bolt..

had trouble getting the bottom hinge bolts lose, ive used as mentioned before torx bit with a box wrench not super strong but got 2 of the 3 out and 1 stripped..

ive center punched the bolt on the side and drilled into the side of the stripped torx head bolt just enough to make it through the center and used the torx again to tighten it up since that was wasnt stripped to break the head lose

worked great! shimmed the door up replaced bolts with hex heads and done

marc

edit: sorry pictures not very clear
