Default Remove AC Compressor?

I am in the middle of replacing a blown head gasket and I ran into a problem. I need to remove the AC compressor to get to the alternator. My Chiltons manual says to remove the compressor and wire it to the side, but I dont know which bolts or what I need to remove to move my compressor. It looks like there are several places to disconnect it but I do not know where to disconnect it without losing freon. Can anyone please let me know how to remove my compressor?

You don't actually remove it all the way. You just take it loose. Don't touch any of the hoses on it. There are four ears on the front and four on the rear. They won't all have bolts on them. Which ever ones do, just take them loose and like the instructions said, tie it to something out of the way.

Definitely agree, leave the lines tight but only remove the four bolts (2 on each side of the body) and move it over... you will not lose any freon that way.
