Default Recent Noise since lift install

So, I'm new to this site and all but i thought id make an account since im always searching this forum for help. I recently installed a RC 3' lift kit and got some 31's too. Cant get enough of how smooth the new suspension is over bumps and through ditches. But I have noticed a weird low deep rumbling that sounds almost like something is rubbing on the tires, or almost like a bad muffler, for split seconds in the rear end of my jeep. Already checked the wheel wells for fender rubbing or splash guard rubbing but i cant find anything. Is there any parts of the driveline, or brake system or anything that may cause this noise after a recent lift install? all help would be great

I only have a 2inch lift, so a lot of what's posted doesn't necesarily apply to my baby, but I've read a lot of posts with guys who have to do transfer case "drops" to properly align their driveshafts. In essence, you lowered your pumpkin... it messes up the geometry of all the angles involved. Might want to also check out your u-joints. Sometime they are weak, then you lift it, change the angle, go offroading more than normal, put additional stress on it... etc, etc.

There should be a lot of threads to "t-case drops"...
Hit the search bar.

Good news is... u joints and a tcase drop kit are cheap and easy to install. ;-)

Good luck.

Right on, yeah I havent even thought about a Transfer case drop, or even if it was really needed with a 3" lift or not. But it does make sense when you think about the angles with the driveshaft, and the U-joints I'll look into that. Haha thanks, i definitely feel the hole in my wallet already, and ive only just started. 0.o
