What happens when the dealer can't execute a recall? I'm waiting on the parts for the airbag relocation recall (better late than never) and it's been over a month. I figured that it would be a while and the dealer has been very good to me. What if they can't come up with the new ACM? Has anyone experienced this situation?

They looked in their system and none were available in the country. I believe it's a specific kit that is used for the recall relocation........

I'm mostly just marking this thread. On one of my 90's with the bendix 9 ABS...long story but the parts are NA. ("Fully waranteed replacement) Somewhere someone said the dealer will pay for the parts if I can find them myself. I might know a little more in a couple of weeks.

Friend of mine has a pair of Acuras with the explodey Takata airbags and he is working with Honda and the dealer on rental cars because there's no timeframe on getting a replacement part.

Contact Jeep directly and explain the situation, if there was any litigation it was with Jeep not a dealer. They should be able to help push things along.
I just received the recall notice for my 02 WJ, Airbag module, recall from last year, dealer did not have the modules. Dealer did do a factory recall air bag control "filter" install.
Been 6 months since.
Now apparently the modules are also available. Will call dealer this week to confirm and set appointment. This is Canada application.

Mopar America lists it. Usually when they do You can get it from your local Chrysler dealer.
