Hey guys I have some holes in my floor and I have some sheet metal from the box of a truck that im going to use to weld in patches. My question is what is the easiest way to get the carpet out of my jeep? I want to put it back in so I dont want to cut it.

You have to fully remove your seats, center console, and the pieces your seat belts click into. I just did the same on mine but after I saw how nasty and moldy the bottom was I cut it into sections for easy removal for working ease since I knew it was trash once I was done. Now it just hides the massive holes from the PD and keeps MOST of the dust out when I drive.
Just did this to mine(96 XJ). I took all of the carpet out and removed all of the nasty padding from the carpet. If you get rid of all the padding and then shampoo the carpet, it will probably be fine.
if you guys want a cheap way to do carpet go to lowes or home depot and ask for out door carpet it looks about the same and its alot more durable its around 30bucks to do the hole jeep and comes in black-tan-gray a few other colors then to glue it down theres a spray glue made by 3M that works very well about 5-7bucks a can
